FLH Environmental Team participates in Training Workshop for auditors from companies that are signatories to the Green Grain Protocol

08/09/25

On September 4, the environmental team at FLH Advogados participated in the annual Training Workshop for auditors of companies that are signatories to the Green Grain Protocol.

The Green Grain Protocol is a voluntary agreement that aims to certify environmental and social compliance in the various stages of the production chain for grains produced and/or marketed in the state of Pará.

Through the Protocol, signatory companies commit to purchasing grains from rural properties registered in the Rural Environmental Registry (CAR), which issue purchase invoices, are not on the list of areas embargoed by IBAMA and the State Secretariat for the Environment, Climate and Sustainability (SEMAS-PA), are not included in the list of slave labor, and do not overlap with indigenous lands (TI) and conservation units (UC).

Among the commitments made by the signatory companies is the delivery of an annual audit report to demonstrate compliance with the criteria required by the Protocol.

With the improvement of the Protocol over the years, from now on, there will be annual training for the teams that audit the signatory companies in the presentation of their reports, in order to promote the updating of the procedures necessary for the execution of the audits.

The third cycle of audits already has a defined schedule, ensuring the continuity of monitoring and the effectiveness of the commitment made by the signatory companies.

Our environmental team has audited companies that are signatories to the Protocol and is available to answer questions regarding the criteria required by the Protocol and compliance with it.
