Aline Dias has over a decade of experience in preventing and resolving domestic and international disputes. With a practice focused on highly complex litigation, Aline represents clients in a wide range of services and industries, such as infrastructure, renewable energy, agribusiness, logistics, technology, commercial representation and financial services, as well as other relevant corporate disputes.

Aline’s work in Litigation and Arbitration is recognized by the world’s leading publications, such as Benchmark Litigation, Best Lawyers, Chambers & Partners, LACCA Approved, Leaders League, The Legal 500 and Who’s Who Legal.

Aline holds a master’s degree in procedural law from the University of São Paulo and a Law degree from Mackenzie Presbyterian University. She is currently Professor of Arbitration and Mediation at Mackenzie Presbyterian University, Latin American representative of the ICC-YAAF (Young Arbitration & ADR Forum of the International Chamber of Commerce), Regional Coordinator of the Brazilian Arbitration Committee (CBAr), member of the Advisory Board of the Arbitration Channel and a member of the list of arbitrators of important institutions in the country, such as the Business Mediation and Arbitration Chamber (CAMARB), Chamber of Mediation and Arbitration of the Commercial Association of Paraná (ARBITAC), Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration (CBMA), Agribusiness Chamber of Arbitration and Mediation (CAMAGRO) and Center for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration of the Argentine-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (CAMARBRA).

 

Track Record

– CAM-CCBC arbitration on contractual review and disagreements over the design of wind turbine components.

– CAM-B3 arbitrations on conflicts between independent agents and investment houses.

– CAM-CCBC and ICC arbitrations on the review of contracts with take-or-pay clauses, including within the scope of logistics solutions for agribusiness.

– CCBC and CCI arbitrations on the fulfillment of contractual obligations by the Seller or Buyer following M&A transactions.

– CCBC and CAM-B3 arbitrations on corporate disputes, especially with an emphasis on discussions on shareholders’ resolutions and changes in control.

– CAM-CCBC and ICC arbitrations on the economic and financial rebalancing of contracts for the supply of electromechanical equipment to some of the world’s largest hydroelectric plants.

– Advice and homologation of foreign arbitration awards, including in the case of agribusiness sector chambers (FOSFA, GAFTA, ICA).

– Legal disputes over industrial property, the supply of blades and the supply of towers in the wind energy production market.

– Legal dispute over economic and financial rebalancing in a major subway project in northeastern Brazil.

– Legal dispute over insurance coverage for an infrastructure project relevant to the composition of the national energy matrix.
