Track Record

– Responsible for developing the ESG program of the largest integrated health network in Brazil and one of the main Traders in Brazilian Agribusiness.

– Responsible for evaluating the largest Brazilian agribusiness companies for the Green Grain Protocol.

– In a huge M&A, there was an environmental commitment clause with the local authority, agreeing to reforest 100 hectares around a dam. The signatory company did not take any action and the acquiring company became responsible for this, but realized that the task was impossible to fulfill, as part of this area was already occupied by local traditional communities. Flávia was hired to resolve this impasse, negotiating with the environmental authorities for compensation in an alternative area, along with environmental education programs to be developed with the traditional communities to avoid environmental impacts.

– A company has 103 sites in Brazil and, as one of them was facing social issues related to indigenous peoples’ territory, our office advised the company to map all the areas of social and environmental interest in a legal buffer around each of the 103 sites to identify the existence of these areas and assess whether the proximity of the company’s sites to these areas would pose any environmental or social risks. The department determined the legal boundaries that should be taken into account for the mapping, also researched and assessed all the legislation relating to the protected areas identified taking into account environmental indigenous people and heritage legislation assessed the risks and advised the company in this regard.
